614forHAITI is a group of renegades across Columbus, Ohio who are ready and willing to instigate love for Haiti. This grassroots effort is fueled by individuals working to stir up funds, awareness and compassion in relief efforts following earthquakes of January 2010.

As of now, we're partnering with aHomeinHaiti.org in an effort to raise funds and tents. The earthquake left thousands homeless, and the rainy season will be starting in the beginning of March. AHomeinHaiti is working with organizations on the ground in Haiti to provide tents for those without homes. Tents are not the permanent solution, but they are necessary at this time. Providing tents is only the first of three phases planned by aHomeinHaiti. The second phase will consist of demolition and removal of rubble caused by the earthquake; and the third will consist of construction of permanent housing structures.

The people of Haiti need our love and help. Get involved by donating to aHomeinHaiti. Also, join 614forHAITI's Twitter and Facebook group to keep updated with events in the 614 area. Most importantly, spread the word! Encourage your friends and family to take part in this cause.
